About Kayla Mueller Legacy Conversations
Legacy Conversations are a special tribute to the life and legacy of NAU/UCM alum Kayla Mueller, the American humanitarian worker taken hostage by ISIS in August 2013. In February 2015, after 18 months in ISIS captivity, Kayla’s parents and the world learned by way of an ISIS tweet that she had been killed.
Kayla Mueller Legacy Conversations are those that are intended to increase awareness about global conflict, and our place in the situations and circumstances that allow war, genocide, and torture to exist today.
